It’s my first public tabla workshop since arriving in LA! I am honored to be working in partnership with the Craft and Folk Arts Museum as well as Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural to offer this interactive workshop examining the rhythms, history, and the language of tabla-the traditional drums of North India. You’ll be introduced to the correct posture, finger positioning, and basic notes associated with the tabla. We will also delve into the history that gave rise to this tradition. No prior experience necessary and drums will be provided. FREE!
Due to limited space, RSVP is required to rsvp@cafam.org
