EL-HARU KUROI
El-Haru Kuroi is an unrelenting trio whose music can be described as East Los Angeles Nueva Tropicalia. Combining their East L.A. punk and jazz roots with Brazilian bossa nova and Tropicalia, Mexican boleros, and Afro-diasporic rhythms, singer-guitarist Eddika Organista alternates melodically between Portuguese, Spanish, and English lyrics beside upright bassist Michael Anthony Ibarra and Grammy-nominated percussionist Dominique Rodriguez.

GLENN RED
With the honest music of passionate artists as a common thread, Glenn Red’s DJ sets weave fluidly through time and across genres, connecting the traditional sounds of Africa and the Americas with their modern expressions around the globe. Find funk, soul, hip-hop and reggae in an embrace with Afrobeat, cumbia, samba, and rumba rhythms on a Glenn Red dancefloor. He has been a resident at Afro Funké, Eclectica, and most recently with La Junta Soundsystem.

GINGEE
Gingee is a DJ, producer, and vocalist from Los Angeles. DJing and producing since 2003, she is known for her unique take on electronic music, which blends elements of global bass, world music, and hip hop. Her work is a reflection of the sounds and cultures she has been exposed to growing up in Los Angeles as well as the musical world of her ancestors and beyond. From the percussive rhythms of instruments such as the Filipino Kulintang, kettle drum, and cowbells, to synths, turntables and rapping, she seeks to speak the language of music and poetry and use it to communicate a message of empowerment and celebration.

AALOK MEHTA + ROBIN SUKHADIA
Aalok Mehta is a Los Angeles and NY-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer-songwriter, and sitar player. He combines his exploration and performance of Indian classical music on sitar with his eclectic experiences in various western traditions to create works of music that cover many genres. Starting on harmonium at the age of seven, Aalok later learned keyboards, guitar, sitar (under the guidance of the esteemed Pt. Nayan Ghosh), and voice.

A Master in Fine Arts graduate from the World Music program at the California Institute of the Arts, Robin Sukhadia has been studying tabla (classical north Indian drums) under Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri at CalArts and the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, California for the past twelve years. In 2010, Robin was awarded a Fulbright Senior Research Award to expand his work with music education for underserved communities in India.
