RE:DREAM AT THE PASADENA PLAYHOUSE – APRIL 19, 2016
PBS SoCal invites you to explore the changing American dream at Re: Dream Party, a room-to-room evening of performance, music and conversation inspired by the concept of the American Dream in motion. Performances include:
Selected scenes from Shelter, a new theatrical production presented by the CalArts Center for New Performance and Duende CalArts
Performances by South Asian writers and musicians examining their connection to the American Dream, curated by Tabla Artist Robin Sukhadia. Writers Neelanjana Banerjee, Tanzila Ahmed and SETI X present original work scored live by Sadubas (featuring Robin Sukhadia, Ameet Mehta and Azeem Khan).
This event is in support of Re: Dream, a new short-form webseries investigating how Americans define success in the 21st century. The project explores the stories of 40 Americans—from LA to Kansas City—to build a conversation around identity, access, opportunity, and what it means to pursue a modern “American dream.”
This event is free and open to the public. Pie and coffee will be served.
